Bruce is a 10 yr old retired Thoroughbred race horse. He won over $100,000 in just a couple of years of racing. He liked that job, but even though his legs were wearing down, he I beat everyone running. But Bruce knew there is more to life than running. His trainer was his best friend, until she tragically passed away. Now, he is a head coach for a suicide prevention program at Second Chance Ranch. And he loves to paint! He paints with the people who visit him, or sometimes they just talk. This year the Jockey Club Thoroughbred Incentive Program (TIP) awarded Bruce the “2019 Thoroughbred of the Year Award” for his work as a coach.
He would appreciate if Santa brought him
size 81 waterproof turnout blanket ($199.95), joint supplements (7.2 lb
bag is $109.83), and licorice and peppermints (a 350 count tub of Sweet
Stripes is $32.35).

Thank you to Suzanne B., Randa W., Irene J., Dianne E., Ann J., Al H., and Stacey H. for helping to grant Bruce's wish! $62 more needed!
Special Horses, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) 2015, 2016 and 2017 Great NonProfit organization and a GuideStar Platinum Participant. Since 2009, our mission has been to provide outstanding registered 501(c)(3) equine rescue organizations with fundraising opportunities, marketing assistance, educational opportunities, and community outreach. The organizations we support are dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming horses in need, and are carefully screened and selected based on their trustworthy reputation, dedication, and excellent service to the animals in their care. Rescuing horses leaves these organizations little time to plan, organize, and execute fundraisers and outreach, and it is the mission of Special Horses to help them help equines in need.
