Clancy is a 28 - 30 year old stallion who was found estray. His owners were eventually located but charged with neglect because Clancy was emaciated when found. He’s a sweet old guy who has clearly had a rough time lately. He is now with a wonderful foster, but could use a safety halter ($29.95) and lead rope ($12.95), dewormer (4 tubes would get him dewormed for a year, about $25). It will cost about $300 for his initial veterinary care. His foster home could also use senior feed (or funds to put towards buying senior feed).
Special Horses, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization. It is a GuideStar Platinum Participant and has been a Great Nonprofit since 2015. Since 2009, our mission has been to provide outstanding 501(c)(3) equine rescue organizations with fundraising opportunities, marketing assistance, educational opportunities, grant assistance and community outreach. The organizations we support are dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming horses in need, and are carefully screened and selected based on their trustworthy reputation, dedication, and excellent service to the animals in their care. Rescuing horses leaves these organizations little time to plan, organize, and execute fundraisers and outreach, and it is the mission of Special Horses to help them help equines in need.
